Neighborhood Placements:
Initially, nearly all participants disagreed with the idea of placing children in the same neighborhoods where they were removed from their birth parents. (See the discussion in a later chapter about Family Centered Neighborhood Based practice.)
· It’s too easy for the natural parent to get to the child.
· The child needs a new environment.
· Children in the same neighborhood will make fun of the child.
Some participants said that they could see the advantage of a child’s remaining in the same school district.
